The Service Team Lead is responsible to maintain service quality; assisting in profitability and ensuring safe work practices are adhered to. To ensure quality, the Team Lead will ensure all service personnel; Apprentices, helpers and Technician(s) perform their jobs safely and properly and will advise and assist, and give technical advice where necessary to ensure proper recoverable times are met. The Team Lead will also recover, as part of their duties, time on jobs to assist in the overall profitability of their position. The Team Lead will also enforce all Health and Safety practices within the service department.

Ensure Apprentices are given proper information to do the job efficiently and correctly, and train them to develop and hone their skills.
Leave detailed notes for next shift; to advise current situations with customer vehicles and promises made that the next shift must follow up with.
Ensure notes are left in customer units on the status of repairs.
Ensure Vehicles are taken for road tests when necessary, including the verification of complaints, PDl, etc.
Perform quality control inspections as per Altruck guidelines.
Perform repairs and service calls as time permits and work load demands.
Assist Sales department and Parts department on any technical service need.
Participate in dealer-specified and/or factory-sponsored training courses, as well as Service Marketing programs.
Ensures vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Makes sure they are locked and
all keys are marked and put away correctly.
Make sure technician cleans bay after repair.
Keep work area neat and tidy.
Responsible for RIO and documentation to Customers, as all as internal, warranties, etc.
Keep service Department forms, menus, and pricing guides up-to-date.
Follows Lease and Rental procedures at time of write-up and coordinates necessary repairs within the guidelines of UR.
Other related duties as assigned.
310T or 310S preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
General mechanical skills
Valid G class driver's license and a good driving record
Must have necessary hand tools
The Team Lead will stand six to eight and a half hours per shift, lift parts weighing more than 50 pounds several times during each shift, and use hoist and test equipment as needed. He or she will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. He or she will use hand and power tools, and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Road testing of vehicles may be required. The Team Lead will be required to wear a company uniform at all times.
