Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Domestic Violence Advocate in the Valley Human Services program at Behavioral Health Network! Domestic Violence Advocates provide short term victim support and crisis intervention, offering problem solving and referrals to community services for survivors of domestic violence. Domestic Violence Advocates offer education about the dynamics of abuse, provide safety planning and risk assessment, and give limited support at police stations and E.D. at local area hospitals. As an extension of the community response to domestic violence in local communities, the On-Call Domestic Violence Advocate will work after traditional business hours and weekends with first responders from area police departments.
The On-call advocates will answer calls on a dedicated phone line from first responders at a scene of a domestic violence call and offer support and resources to victims. They will also respond to police department and hospitals as needed to assist victims with Emergency R.O., emotional support.

Domestic Violence Advocates at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:
- Bachelor’s degree or two or more years working in the social services field with survivors of domestic or sexual violence.
- Minimum 30 hours Domestic Violence Advocacy/ Sexual Assault training.
- Valid MA Drivers license
