**This is a one year limited term appointment.
Continuation of employment is contingent upon the availability of funds.
Assists researchers in planning, maintaining or completing research programs and/or projects involved in the discovery of new knowledge, techniques and concepts which require fundamental scientific/research knowledge, skills and abilities following relevant policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
Essential functions include, but are limited to: maintaining quality assurance programs, oversee records maintenance and compliance to regulation, represent quality assurance and advises management on matters of quality control, coordinates or
assists logistics of research to include equipment, materials and labor needs; collect data, statistically analyze data; identifies and resolves product and process quality issues; drives continuous improvement processes; oversees the activities of the document and record management systems and reviews and recommends process
improvements; oversees and conducts the internal audit and employee training programs analyzes and formulates reports documenting the effectiveness of the quality assurance systems being utilized; conducts production reviews, authorizes product for distribution, and ensures
correct product disposition; monitors and evaluates supplier performance; and oversees the equipment maintenance program.
Entry into the applicant pool for Level I requires a Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position plus 2 years experience in quality management.
Consideration for Level II requires a Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position plus 4 years experience in quality management.
Consideration for Level III requires a Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position plus 6 years experience in quality management.
When a candidate has the required experience, but lacks the required education, they may normally apply additional relevant experience toward the education requirement, at a rate of two (2) years relevant experience per year of required education.
